For me, when it comes to apples, it’s all about the texture. It’s gotta be crunchy or I’ll spit it out like a toddler and squish my face up in disgust…so Honeycrisp apples are my new very favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I love those Granny Smiths, but variety is the spice of life and cinnamon is the spice of apples.
This fall it was all about the Golden Delicious. Why? Well, that’s what we had and when life give you apples you make a quince apple crisp, a whole bunch of dried apples AND several jars of apple sauce, the chunky kind you can’t get in the store! Well, that’s what we did. Continue reading »
